A recent U.S. intelligence report has found a ‘plausible explanation’ for the mysterious Havana syndrome.

In 2016, multiple Canadian and American diplomats stationed in Havana, Cuba began experiencing strange neurological symptoms. The symptoms ranged from headaches to hearing loss and vertigo. Many victims also reported hearing strange high-pitched sounds. The mysterious condition then began to be known as the ‘Havana syndrome’. Since then, U.S. officials from across Russia, China, Switzerland, Australia, Colombia, France, and Germany have reported similar symptoms. Scientists have put forward several theories regarding the cause of the mystery condition. These include underlying medical conditions, psychological factors, and even microwave weapons. However, a recent U.S. intelligence report provides further information on the mysterious Havana Syndrome.

The report is based on the analysis of more than 1,000 classified documents along with interviews and medical reports of the affected individuals. According to the report, the individuals suffered from ‘genuine and compelling’ symptoms, most likely caused from medical or psychological factors. However, a small subset of cases suffered from unexplained symptoms, unrelated to environmental or medical conditions. These symptoms included the acute onset of sound or pressure in one ear; simultaneous occurrence of vertigo, loss of balance, and ear pain.

Several aspects of this unique neurosensory syndrome make it unlikely to be caused by a functional neurological disorder. لعبه بينجو

Who’s to Blame?

The report proposed four potential causal mechanisms for the syndrome: acoustic signals, chemical and biological agents, ionizing radiation, natural and environmental factors, and radiofrequency and other electromagnetic energy. After ruling out all the possibilities, the authors concluded that pulsed electromagnetic energy, especially in the radiofrequency range, is a plausible explanation for the small dozens of cases. While the authors do state that non-standard antennas can likely generate the required stimulus, they do not provide evidence for any such device. Nor does the report address who is to blame for such activity. bet365 عربي

Moreover, the report rules out other plausible causes such as ionizing radiation and chemical agents. However, they do acknowledge the presence of information gaps in their theory. They, therefore, recommend timely investigation of all possible cases.
