AIMS is the largest European conference organised by medical students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal. The meeting is a great opportunity for all undergraduate students currently attending health science degrees. It is scheduled for 10th March to 13th March 2022 in the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, Aula Magna.
Many faculty members attend the event every year, including the Dean and the President of the Pedagogic Council. Furthermore, many other professors who contribute to the event are also a part of it. The 2022 edition will count on the participation of two Nobel Lectures – one given by Dr. John O’Keefe, Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2014 and Dr. Brian Kobilka, Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2012.
Modules of AIMS
Every year, AIMS Meeting has three modules, each focusing on a different biomedical theme. This year’s themes will be Endocrinology and Nutrition, Personalised Medicine and the Challenges of the Post-pandemic Era.
Besides the three thematic modules, every year the focus is on providing participants with theoretical and hands-on workshops. قوانين لعبة القمار It allows the participants to get training in different skills. In this edition, they will have over 110 workshops for students to have contact with several biomedical fields.
AIMS Meeting 2022 will take place in a hybrid model. Participants can attend in person, at the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, or virtually, through the AIMS Meeting WebApp. The mode of the language of the conference will be English, ensuring everyone attending comprehends it easily.
In the last edition of the AIMS Meeting, more than 1400 participants attended the event. This year, the number of attendees will be more. Around 850 participants can attend in person and many more are expected through the AIMS Meeting WebApp.
Every on-site participant will receive a physical kit – a tote bag filled with supplies and other gifts. Both on-site and virtual participants will have access to a digital kit where they can get access to discount codes and other insights about the meeting. Other than that, every participant will also be eligible to win one or more of many giveaways.
How to Register?
The registration process for on-site participants has already taken place, through the UpEvents Platform. However, the registration for the virtual tickets is still open on the same platform for students from all over the world. المراهنات All information needed to register will be available on the AIMS Meeting website and Instagram.
Every year there is an Ambassador Program in which students from all over the world help share AIMS related information within their faculty. This year, there are more than 50 ambassadors.
AIMS Meeting has three competitions prepared for its participants every year. The Research Competition, the Scientific Competition, and the Clinical Competition, each focus on different areas of interest of the students attending. The Research Competition, for example, consists of poster presentation sessions. The Scientific and Clinical Competitions are more quiz-like. The Clinical Competition’s finale is extremely practical with the use of a high fidelity simulator.
Social Event & Gala Dinner
There are several components to the sociocultural program, which is prepared to maximise every participant’s experience throughout the meeting. A social program called AIMS Living will allow participants to give one of several activities, for example, baking or sewing a try. ربح مجاني In addition to all that, there will also be a Gala Dinner to finish off the event.
AIMS Meeting 2022 is of extreme importance due to being the first in-person event after two editions. The organisers are confident that, with this edition, they will have the opportunity to go even further and reach even more students, always praising the motto of encouraging innovation and science.
Medical students from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon are excited to bring together, once again, students from different countries to discuss and share ideas and experiences. AIMS Meeting 2022 will not only provide them with medical training at the highest level but also ensure a successful cultural program while being a project within the scope of the principles of social responsibility. For that reason, AIMS hopes to provide them with an immersive experience that attendants will never forget.
