Scottish Universities Neurology and Neurosurgical Conference is an international conference uniting all medical students and junior doctors from the UK and internationally for an immersive experience in the field of neurosurgery, neurology and neuroscience. The conference aims to achieve and offer an interesting and exciting experience for participants through exploring cutting-edge research, engagement with leading experts in the field, immersion in the latest advancements in neurology and neurosurgery with stimulating discussion sessions and hands-on workshops where innovation meets inspiration, providing opportunity for all participants to connect with esteemed clinicians and surgeons and indulge in the fields of neurology and neurosurgery, discussing promising research as well as innovative clinical solutions and practices.
When & Where?
The 1st edition of this in-person congress will take place on March 2nd–3rd, 2024, at the Prince Philip Building, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Nicolson St, Edinburgh, EH8 9DW. The medium of delivery of congress remains English for maximum learning coverage. SUN2-C offers a unique opportunity for medical students from all over Scotland and abroad to connect with esteemed Clinicians and Surgeons in the fields of Neurology and Neurosurgery to discuss promising research and innovative clinical solutions and practices
Theme of Conference
The theme of the Scottish Universities Neurology and Neurosurgical Conference, which speakers will talk about is The Bold and Innovative and As the World Revolves. Also, the workshop will discuss the theme of The Art In Our Daily Lives. The three main skills the conference focuses on this year include; Network with Leading Researchers, Clinicians and Surgeons as well as Junior Colleagues, Engage in interactive and Intuitive Hands-on Workshops, Talks and Panel Discussions.
Oral and Poster Presenters & Workshops
This would be an opportunity to showcase your work. Identify and Learn the current challenges and advancements in Neurology and Neurosurgery. Gain valuable CPD points awarded by RCSEd. Moreover, the conference provides workshops, namely: Endovascular Intervention Simulator by Mentice Workshop; Hydrocephalus and Telemetry Monitoring by B-Braun Workshop; EVD insertion and ICP Monitoring by Delta on Day 1. The workshops for Craniotomy and Burr Holes by Stryker Workshop, Neuronavigation and Magic Leap Headsets by Brainlab Workshop CUSA, and Bipolar Cautery by Codman will take place on Day 2.
