Interoperability for system resilience

    0

Join us to explore whether healthcare system interoperability holds the key to operating resilient health systems. The RSM Digital Health Section and the Better Health Programme bring together digital health experts in the UK and South Africa to facilitate a bilateral exchange of ideas and experiences exploring interoperability for health system resilience.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the vulnerabilities of health systems around the world. In a crisis, countries need the ability to coordinate actions, share information and allocate resources effectively. Could healthcare system interoperability be a key enabler for adaptable and therefore resilient health systems? And if so, what are the optimal routes to achieve that goal?

Our panel of leading experts from the digital health communities in the UK and South Africa will examine the current state of play in both countries, review past and current endeavours to achieve healthcare system interoperability and share examples of the different routes to achieve health system interoperability and the relative merits of the options.

This programme is ideal for all healthcare professionals with an interest in healthcare technology, and students and professionals with an interest in health policy and system resilience.
