Dermatology and rheumatology – LSP day

    This study day will provide participants with an update on common paediatric dermatological and rheumatological conditions. This webinar will teach paediatric trainees about aetiology, diagnosis and management of common paediatric dermatological and rheumatological conditions.

    Learning objectives include:

    • Aetiology, diagnosis and management of common paediatric skin infections
    • Recognise and refer appropriate children with pigmentary and vascular birthmarks
    • Being aware of recent evidence in the management of paediatric eczema, be able to demonstrate how to apply topical emollients; understand the different potencies of topical steroids and of their side effects
    • Signs of skin failure and when to consult dermatology, ophthalmology and other specialists
    • Take an appropriate history, musculoskeletal examination and assessment
    • The role of multidisciplinary teams and other professionals involved in the care of children with musculoskeletal conditions
    • Complications of immunosuppressive treatment
    • The association of musculoskeletal presentations and common chronic diseases (such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease)
    • The disease associations of rheumatological conditions, in particular, juvenile arthritis and eye disease

    Registration for this webinar will close 2 hours prior to the start time. You will receive the webinar link 2 hours before the meeting. Late registrations will not be accepted.

    This webinar is available for on-demand viewing. The webinar recording will be available for registered delegates up to 30 days after the live webinar broadcast via Zoom. The link will be sent 24 hours after the webinar takes place.
